Setting the Scene

The Children's Soccer Academy (CSA) is a registered charity (No: 1137710) with the objective of the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of West Berkshire, North Hampshire and Reading aged between two and eighteen by the provision of facilities for playing football.

Our aim is to encourage a love of the game without players feeling pressured and to help young players develop socially, emotionally and physically through their enjoyment of football and our sessions.

Apart from our own sessions with the under 6s we work with youth services, schools, community centres and local groups to provide football in line with our philosophy that everyone has FUN and enjoys learning how to develop football skills and fitness in an achievable and positive way. We run CSA in a friendly and positive atmosphere aiming to build skills, team spirit and self-esteem. We are committed to creating and preserving the safest possible environment for young people to play football.

The key starting point for our activities is the Saturday morning drop in sessions which we are delighted to say is supported by the Greenham Common Trust. Saturday is when we take all our very young stars (those under 6) through a series of fun drills and games so that they learn to play football as simply and as easily as can be.

Please browse our site to find out more about what we do and how we do it – we’d love to see you on one of our pitches!

We also run football teams from Under 6 through to U16 in Newbury and Basingstoke. For more information please visit the site
