Current Activities
- In a normal week we work with over 500 children in the West Berks, North Hants and Reading areas.
- We run our own sessions for almost 200 children in local Community Centres, Recreation and sports fields.
- We run sessions for around 30 children each week at the West Berkshire Pupil Referral Units.
- We attend Junior and Infant Schools as far apart as Cold Ash and West Reading to teach football to just over 300 children from Reception to year six. We work closely with all these schools even running the School teams and assisting at fetes etc.
- We have been recruited by the Youth Offending Team (YOT) to take young people to work with us as part of their reparation (their Community service).
- We run weekly sessions for almost 20 home educated children.
- During the School holidays, we run very popular holiday sessions in Lambourn, Cold Ash and Chieveley and we have worked with Thames Valley Police and West Berkshire Youth workers to run sessions in Kintbury, Lambourn and Compton for 80 children aged between 9 and 16.
- As we are qualified and experienced in running football teams from Under 7 upwards and we currently have 14 youth teams and one adult team in Newbury and Basingstoke – go to www.csafc.co.uk for details.
- We have successfully guided one 18 year old through his level 1 and level 2 FA coaching qualification and we are actively recruiting others to follow the same route.
