Key Personnel

The Childrens Soccer Academy (CSA) is a partnership set up by Roger Moon and Penny Hewitt. Details of them and our other staff are:
Roger Moon
Following eighteen years progressive commercial marketing management Roger had a further 15 years at Board/Director level for a number of Charities. In regards to the core business of CSA Roger has been involved in football for over ten years as a coach, trainer and team manager to youth football teams from U7 to U18. He is a qualified FA Coach, FA Child protection certified, enhanced level CRB vetted, a qualified referee and also qualified in First Aid. In addition Roger is League Secretary of the North East Hants Youth League with over 600 boys and girls teams, until recently a Board Director of Hants FA. Finally he is (exam) qualified for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Penny Hewitt
Penny is a qualified social worker and has held positions as Head of Services for Adults with Learning Difficulties in West Berks Council and as Head of Adult Services for the National Autistic Society. In regard to the core business of CSA Penny has learnt to teach ball skills to young children but key is her social work background which enables her to lead with those we deal with who are disadvantaged, disengaged or have learning difficulties. She is enhanced level CRB vetted, FA Child protection certified and is qualified in first aid. Penny is also currently a panel member for the West Berkshire Youth Offending team.
In addition to the above we have four part-time employees; Ben Moon who leads the coaching to CSA 07 fc teams and who is a qualified FA Level 2 coach; David Haines, a Teaching Assistant at The Oaks PRU and a qualified FA Level 1 coach and finally just about to embark on a Level 1 coaching course Stephen Joplin plus our youngest helper Luke Gulliver.
